On 20th February 1915 the 4th Cameron Highlanders arrived in France where they joined 24 Brigade of 8th Division and went into the trenches for the first time on 28th February at Rue de Bacquerot near Laventie. Thomas Wilson died from wounds on 7th March but the exact date on which he was wounded is not known. He was possibly one of the five men wounded on 1st March when a shell hit Battalion HQ. |
